The BLOX Arts Centre

The BLOX Arts Centre (BAC) is an open, inclusive space for Calgarians to gather, share and connect without barriers.

This innovative community arts centre, located in the heart of The Beltline BLOX at #150 - 625 11th Ave SW, is set to become a must visit venue for artists, art lovers and neighbouring businesses alike.

Versatile Spaces

The centre boasts a variety of versatile spaces, including a spacious gallery, performance stage, podcast room, and bar. These multipurpose areas are designed to accommodate diverse artistic endeavours, allowing for exhibitions, workshops, rehearsals, and performances. 

Accessible Equipment

BAC has partnered with Long & McQuade to offer a free backline for live performances, allowing musicians of all levels an opportunity to perform for their fans, friends and family.

Community Outreach

With a strong focus on community engagement, The BLOX Arts Centre aims to bring the arts closer to the people. Through outreach programs, educational initiatives, and partnerships with local organizations, the centre seeks to foster creativity, promote cultural appreciation, and provide accessible opportunities for all residents to participate in artistic endeavours.

Exhibitions and Events

The centre will host a diverse range of exhibitions, performances, workshops, and special events throughout the year. These engaging and thought-provoking experiences will not only showcase the talents of local and international artists but also encourage dialogue and exploration of contemporary issues.

Collaborative Spaces

The BLOX Arts Centre recognizes the value of collaboration in the arts. Not only is the centre open to public bookings, resident company The Kinkonauts use the centre as a hub to develop talent, practice and perform improv comedy.
