PARTY IN THE PARK

Join the BLOX in collaboration with Lougheed House for a day in the park with live music, lawn games, and fun to be had by all. With a lineup featuring Hand Habits, Lightning Dust and guests, this is a can't-miss event! A variety of food trucks and liquor services will be available on-site.

BUMP FESTIVAL
EVENT

BUMP is back for their 6th year! They have spent the past few years beautifying the city, bringing in new ideas, and using public art as a vehicle to change the way a city can think, feel, and dream. To reflect this growth, this year the BUMP Festival is immersed in the idea of PLAY.
STREET CLEANING ON THE BLOX
ONGOING INITIATIVE
Starting early to mid-August, all BLOX sidewalks will receive some extra TLC regularly through the help of RadiCare Ventures.
RadiCare is a social enterprise offering Calgary litter, needle, and waste disposal services. They hire people with barriers to employment and provide them with professional development opportunities. This helps them support vulnerable communities, minimize negative interactions with the public, and offer property maintenance in a whole new way.
You can expect to see multiple members of their team busy on the streets five days a week. They will be offering:
- Pressure washing
- Graffiti removal
- Litter pickup
- Needles and sharps removal
- Area maintenance & biowaste removal
- Area monitoring and outreach
As this program rolls out, it will expand to offer an outreach line. Businesses, and community members, will be able to call them within operating hours to request service to areas in need.
