They’ve teamed up with Wings of Hope for Africa to ensure by empowering communities & share their developments of self-sufficiency programs to end poverty in Burundi and Rwanda, East Africa, and in Calgary, Canada. Stop in and grab a shake in support!

BLOX presents: Alpha House's Engaging Vulnerable Persons Workshop

Tuesday February 28th from 12:10-12:55pm @ 617 11th Ave SW

FREE

The Engaging Vulnerable Persons Training/Workshop breaks down common myths and misconceptions about homelessness and substance use. It offers skills and knowledge that provide individuals the information to better understand, ultimately helping remove biases and stigma to meaningfully engage with individuals experiencing homelessness with compassion and empathy.

Finally, the workshop offers information on crisis intervention techniques and when these might be necessary to support greater confidence and safety for all interactions.

YYC Hot Chocolate Fest

February 1st – 28th Meals on Wheels is back with their annual fundraiser, come try some delicious and new hot chocolate flavors from one of the BLOX contestants and support a good cause:
