The Best Spots in The BLOX to Catch the Flames Games!

With 14 games scheduled in March, there is a bunch of time to put that jersey of yours to good use. There's a ton of great spots to watch the game and grab a bite to eat in The BLOX. Whether you're stopping in for a couple of drinks and appys before you head over to the Saddledome, or you want to watch the game on a big tv, some of our favourite places to go are CRAFT Beer Market, Inner City Brewing, Last Best Brewing & Distilling, and Mikey's On 12th!   

Some awesome specials that you'll have to check out during this Flames season: 

CRAFT Beer Market: On Tuesday, get $5 burgers and $5 local brews all day! 

Inner City Brewing: Catch their happiest happy hour Monday to Friday 2-5 PM, where popular items are half off! 

Last Best Brewing & Distilling: Their extended happy hour takes places Monday to Saturday 11:30 AM to 6PM! One of the city's best happy hours! 

Mikey's On 12th: Mikey's is notorious for its taco shop. Every day you can get 3 tacos for just $11! How can you not eat your way through the whole taco menu?

Inner City Brewing partners with Black Lives Matter Society YYC

Our friends at Inner City Brewing partnered with the Black Lives Matter Society YYC to create four new labels to celebrate Black History Month. These labels featured art by four incredible local Black artists. You'll be able to see their art on limited-edition cans of their best-selling Bridgelandia beer. 

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these cans will be donated to the Black Lives Matter Society YYC. These brews are available for purchase at their taproom in The BLOX or online!

The countdown to BIG Winter Classic is on.   

Calgary is a scene jam-packed with innovation and ever-evolving art and entertainment. Now, pair that with food and local craft beverages and what do you have? The untapped potential for a really great time! Are you ready to move and shake all over The BLOX?  Enjoy three weeks of live entertainment, music, comedy, and more!

The first round of shows takes place on March 24th at Broken City. Artists performing this day include Noca project, Lushings, Krill Williams, and Braids.

The first weekend of BIG Winter Classic was one to remember!

The first weekend of BIG Winter Classic kicked off last Thursday, and as expected, it was amazing. Didn't get to catch the first weekend? You still have a chance to catch the rest of the festivities across The BLOX at SIX different venues for the next two weeks. Check out some of the details below, and if you haven't already, get your tickets here!

Weekend two is JAM PACKED with a little something for everyone and an awesome lineup of entertainers. Visit Last Best Brewing and Distilling or Commonwealth Bar and Stage for a weekend full of live music. Hit up Inner City Brewing if you're after a blend of music and stand-up comedy, or head down to Twisted Element for a Morgan McMichaels meet and greet and drag show!

Cap off BIG Winter Classic 2022 by hanging out on 11th Ave at next-door neighbours Broken City and Last Best Brewing and Distilling for the final weekend of live music. This year will be one to remember, so be sure to take a bunch of photos and tag BIG Winter Classic and The BLOX on your Instagram stories!
